The park nearest to my home happens to house the Bolton Hall Museum, a stone building built by the pioneers to the area of Tujunga, California. This makes it a convenient subject to paint. Last weekend I spent a few hours painting and then checked out the museum.

Earlier in the month, I was in the San Fernando Valley area looking for a subject. I found that Reseda has a park with a lake simply called Reseda Lake Park. It has a small island and seems to attract birds of all kinds. Below is my Plein air alla prima effort. I’m thinking of adding another layer of color to finish it.
