Yesterday there was quite a crowd of people at Descanso Botanical Gardens in La Canada/Flintridge, California. It was understandable because the roses and bearded irises were in full bloom. I walked around the whole garden, through the forest of oak and Camellia, around the lakes and ferns, and finally into the rose garden. The hardest part was settling on one thing to paint!
