This is a quick landscape painting I did last weekend while visiting Memorial Park in Santa Monica, California. The sky was all mixed-up with clouds, but it still felt warm and humid. It took me about an hour or so to paint en plein air on 11×14″ canvas board with acrylic paint. I blocked in the painting with black and colored in the rest using yellow-green, light olive, warm grey, titanium white, and primary blue. Since this is more impressionistic, I do not think I will do any stylized technique on top of this. It may get gesso over it and be considered a practice piece.
